Benchamabophit Dusit wanaram Rachaworavihan Temple was renovated by the King Rama 5. In the pass, this temple were called Wat Leam or Wat Saithong. Later, the king combined two temples into one and considered as royal temple of the Dusit Palace. The designer of the main chapel of Benchamabophit Dusit wanaram Rachaworavihan is Somdej Jaofah Grom Prayanarisaranuwattiwong.

During April and October, there is a group ordination for small boy who want to ordain during Summer time. The procession made in the morning around 09:00. If you lucky to visit at that time , you allow to observe and take part in for chanting and a sermon. When the King Rama VI made his visit for merit making , their majesty will come to this temple and stay at Prathenang Songtham, the building across the canal opposite to the main chapel.This building also has been used for commemorating the funeral for the Royal family member as well as superior nobility.
