Immigration

Passengers departing Thailand must have their passports checked by an Immigration Officer. Besides one’s passport, boarding pass and completed immigration card No.6 [T.M.6] forms are required. Arriving passenger is required to fill out the immigration card No.6 [T.M.] form of BIA Immigration Office VISA ON ARRIVAL

Passengers from more than 90 countries are now able to obtain visas on arrival at the arrival counters near the immigration counters in the Arrival Hall of the International Passenger Terminal 1. Regulations and fees vary from country to country. Citizens of the United States, Canada, Australia, and European Union will be granted a free thirty days tourist visa upon arriving in Bangkok. No additional passport photos are required for the aforementioned citizens. Passport holders of other countries may be subject to a fee of 300 Baht accompanied by 2 pictures are required (express photo service fee for 4 photos is 120 Baht). The length of stay for a Thai tourist visa ranges from 15-30 days including the arrival date. Tel: 0-2535-1071.

The Re-entry Permit counter is on the 3rd floor of the Departure Hall in International Passenger Terminal 1.

Customs

Passengers departing Thailand may be inspected for prohibited and restricted articles. Arriving passengers are required to complete the Customs Declaration Form before going through Customs. Passengers with nothing to declare should proceed to the green channel (Nothing to Declare) but those with articles to be declared should proceed to the red channel (Goods to Declare) with completed Declaration Forms. Failure to declare dutiable, restricted or prohibited articles, will lead to confiscation if found. The passenger may also be fined four times the price of the articles.
