Sihanoukville, Exotic Cambodia Beach Town
Sihanoukville is a town, located on the Coast of Cambodia. It’s claimed as the biggest and best seaside resort town in Cambodia. It’s locally known as Kampong Som. They are filled with empty beaches, crowded beaches with beach chairs, umbrella, bars, and people. Lots of seafood, restaurants, Buddhist Temples, casinos, hotels, and more beaches. A few beaches are rocky, and nice to look at, but not for swimming. From most of the beaches, you can take trips to the islands, and rent boats for snorkeling and fishing.
English is spoken around in Sihanoukville and many French speakers are here as well. More other languages are also spoken in various guesthouses and restaurants.
It’s easy to get into Sihanouk ville from Thailand. Visitors can fly from Bangkok to Phnom Penh. Then take 4 – 5 hours by taxi or bus to Sihanouk ville. Otherwise take 4 hours by bus or car from Koh Kong island to Sihanouk ville, starting just across the border near Trat province of Thailand.
Prime Time in SihanoukVille is between the beginning of November and the end of February. Winter is the best in SihanoukVille! Low season is between the beginnings of July until the end of October. There is lots of rain during those periods. March to June starts to get hotter and more humid, but not too much rain. October is a little rain everyday, which cools things down. Also, the town is filled up with people during Cambodian holidays as well.
