Khao Yai is a national park full of jungle, wild animals & waterfalls. You can trek through the dense jungle and might get a chance to see wild animals and bird singing through the trekking route. There are many waterfalls in Khao Yai National Park area such as Haew Suwat Waterfall, Haew Narok Waterfall and Chet Sao Noi Waterfall.
Khao Yai National Park is the third largest in Thailand, which is established in 1962. Khao Yai is Thailand’s oldest and most reserved national parks. This 2,000 square kilometer biological wonderland contains more than 70 species of mammals including elephants, tigers, gibbons, leopards and Malaysian sun bears, as well as 320 different varieties of birds.
Khao Yai was declared a national heritage site by The Association of Southeast Asian Nations. In 2000, the Thai government launched the Khao Yai Conservation Project to help protect this area for the enjoyment of future generations.

When is Good to Visit?
Khao yai has three main seasons as another part of Thailand (Rainy: May –Oct, Cold: Nov – Feb, Hot: Mar-Apr). The average temperature is 23 degrees Celsius during the day which make it a pleasant place to visit, especially for Bangkok people who come to the park and nearby area for good Ozone.
Wild Life & Forest
Khao Yai is home to variety animals. Elephants, Tiger, gibbon, pig-tailed macaque and sambar deer are live here. Once in a while you may find them walk on the street. The park has a diverse plant community comprised of five main vegetation types. Snakes and lizards usually make their presence known by a rustle in the undergrowth as you are walking. If you see a snake, treat it as dangerous unless you know otherwise!! Geckos are frequently seen catching insects on building walls and ceilings. Cicadas never stop their scratchy hum. Look up and down and from side to side to spot the real movers and shakers in the forest – the insects and invertebrates.
Bird Watching
Khao Yai has various kinds of birds over 320 species. For starter person, it may hard to identify its type. Patience is needed, good binoculars and a bird guide help. Roadsides, the old golf course, grasslands and the watching towers are good places to start your observation. Hornbills are easy to spot and hear its loud sound. The Great Hornbill has a sound “gok gok” which usually seeing pairs or alone.

9. Bats Cave of Khao Yai National Park (Tour)
What you will see here is a million of Bats leaving their cave to go and hunt, the cave is located up on the hillside. First, they come out a few at a time, but then quickly formed into a giant thick ribbon swirling around the sky. The tour usually starts one hour before sunset and only last for 30 minutes before its start to get dark.
10. The Bloom by TV Pool
The Bloom claimed to be the largest garden in Thailand with an area of over 100 acres. They have over 30 species of flowers, definitely a lovely destination for you to visit.
