History of Wat Arun

Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan or commonly known as Wat Arun or Wat Jaeng, was founded since The Kingdom of Ayutthaya, before the foundation of the Chakri Dynasty of The Kingdom of Siam in 1782 A.D. and this temple is in the west bank of Chao Phraya River while the Grand Palace is in the east bank.
