The Emerald Fortress: A Private Longtail Expedition to James Bond Island and the Secret Sea Caves of Phang Nga Bay
Rising like giant stone sentinels from the emerald waters of the Andaman, the limestone karst of Phang Nga Bay holds a beauty that felt so surreal, it became the backdrop for Hollywood legends.
Are you ready to step into the world of 'The Man with the Golden Gun'?
Our James Bond Island Expedition is a curated journey through a prehistoric seascape. By traveling in a traditional Thai longtail boat, you experience the bay with an authentic, slow-travel rhythm that larger cruises simply cannot offer. From the gravity-defying peak of Khao Tapu to the hidden tunnels of Talu Island, this is your chance to explore one of the most spectacular natural wonders on Earth.
Why This is the Ultimate Bay Encounter:
-
The James Bond Legacy: Stand on the shores of Khao Phing Kan and marvel at the iconic "Nail Island" (Khao Tapu). Capture that world-famous photo where the limestone spire seems to float miraculously on the water.
-
Canoeing Through Hidden Tunnels: At Talu Island, we swap the boat for a canoe. Let our expert paddler guide you through ancient sea caves and emerald lagoons where the stalactites hang like crystal chandeliers.
-
The Floating Realm (Koh Panyee): Visit the extraordinary Muslim fishing village built entirely on stilts over the sea. Explore its narrow walkways, the famous floating football pitch, and enjoy a glimpse into a community that has thrived on the water for generations.
-
The Reclining Buddha Cave: Our journey includes a stop at Wat Suwan Kuha (The Monkey Cave Temple). Witness the majestic 15-meter golden reclining Buddha housed within a massive natural limestone cavern.

FAQs
Q: Do I need to paddle the canoe myself?
A: No! We provide a professional paddler for every canoe. You can simply sit back, relax, and focus on the incredible scenery and taking photos while your guide navigates the caves.
Q: Is the elephant ride included?
A: We offer an optional elephant interaction for those interested. Please select this option during booking or consult with us if you prefer a nature-only itinerary.
Q: What should I bring?
A: We recommend a camera, high-SPF sunscreen, a hat, and comfortable footwear (sandals or flip-flops). If you plan to swim or get splashed during canoeing, a waterproof bag for your phone is highly recommended.
Q: Why choose a longtail boat over a speedboat?
A: A longtail boat offers a more "authentic" Thai experience and allows for a quieter, more intimate journey through the narrow mangroves. It is also the perfect pace for enjoying the vast, dramatic landscape of Phang Nga Bay.
