Hanoi itinerary 6 days tour
Day 1 (D)
You are welcomed by your tour guide at the Hanoi ‘s airport upon your flight arrival then transfer to hotel. In the afternoon you will have some leisure time. Welcome dinner in the local restaurant. ( air ticket between South East Asia is extra)
Day 2 (B, L)
In the morning: Visit the Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, his cottage & the One Pillar Pagoda. Continuing on, visit the Hanoi Hilton, the former prison where the American pilots were detained during the Vietnamese war. Visit the Temple Of Literature which was built in 1070 to dedicated to Confucius with a stop at the Craft – Link, a not for profit hand made craft shop.
In the afternoon: Visit Vietnam’ Museum of Ethnology- the most colorful museum in Vietnam where the 54 Ethnic Groups’ culture & custom are displayed, then take a walk along the narrow streets dotted with stores & local markets in the Old Quarter. Evening, enjoy the Water Puppet show – the unique form of Vietnamese art derived from wet-rice civilization in South East Asia.
Day 3 (B, L)
In the morning we hit the road with our bike early in the morning. Our first stop is the Museum of Ho Chi Minh Trails on the outskirts of Hanoi. The museum is a great place to learn about the historic trails which we will ride on. Continue the nice drive along the National high way No 6 to Hoa Binh passing extensive farming lands comprising a sea of paddy fields split by tree-lined roads punctuated by limestone karts scenery.
After a light Lunch in Hoa Binh Town, the capital of Hoa Binh Province, we cross two short mountain passes then descent to the settlement of the stunningly Mai Chau mountain valley. Late afternoon, soak up the idyllic natural surroundings of the villages which are inhabited by the ethnic minority. Thai Dinner and overnight stay in a stilt house of friendly Thai people.
Day 4 (B, L)
8.00 In the morning, Take a short drive to the spectacular area and enjoying a half day trekking to local villages of Cum and Xam Khoe, walk along rice-fields, rural paths and through villages. Get back to village for late lunch and drive back to Hanoi in the afternoon.
Day 5 (B, L)
After the simple breakfast, we leave Hanoi and drive pass the country side of Red river delta to Halong with some stops for photo on the way. On arrival will discover Ha Long Bay – The World Heritage site by private boat. During the 4 hours cruise through the emerald waters between the limestone outcrops and long corridors, we will visit Dau Go Cave ‘Grotto of the wooden stakes’ where in 1288 one of Vietnam’s most famous Generals, Tran Hung Dao amassed hundreds of stakes deep inside the cave prior to a battle with an invading Mongolian army.
A short walk away visit the newly discovered Thien Cung Cave (‘Grotto of the heavenly palace “), famous for its stalagmites and stalactites the cave has only been opened to the public since 1998. A seafood lunch will be served on board. We get back to the main land and drive to Hanoi.
Arrive Hanoi in the evening.
Day 6 (B)
Have breakfast in the hotel and driver will transfer you the airport for the departure.
